For Cornerstone CEO Ron Carnwath, general contracting is a family tradition. Ron learned everything there is to know about the business from his father and grandfather in the 1990s. He learned enough that in 2001, Ron felt convicted to hang a shingle of his own. He founded Cornerstone with an original focus on residential remodeling and general contracting. Sensing a larger opportunity, he switched the company’s focus to commercial construction in 2004. The rest, as they say, is history.
